Basic Vegan Nutritional Concepts for Dental Patients
Are
you seeing an increase in patients who identify as a Vegan in their diets? Is
this diet concept so foreign that you try to avoid Vegan patients? There is
no need to fear, because this eating regimen is here to stay and really has a
number of health benefits. This continuing dental education module will
detail the basic Vegan nutritional concepts and their effect on systemic and
oral health. The module will review the digestion and metabolic concepts
related to Vegan nutrition, and their application to dentistry and oral
health. No need to construct Vegan nutrition plans for patients, this module
will detail a number of these meal plans, for all types of dental patients on
a Vegan diet. The module will display multiple patient types on a Vegan diet
and the effect on their whole body and dental health to demonstrate how these
diets work and interact with tissues. Clinical cases will be presented in all
courses to help the participant compare and contrast a Vegan diet to obtain
optimum oral health. |
